About Us

We're Curtis & Liz Truax,
owners of the
C Bar L .

WELCOME TO OUR WORLD!

We purchased the C Bar L in 1994. We began with our first stallion, Pines Alliance (by Zippo Bar Pine) and a small band of broodmares.

Our mission has NEVER changed:

To create high-quality crosses that produce the best minds, exceptional conformation, and the ability to excel on the ranch and in the show pen

Come see what all the FUN is about!

Liz's Roadmap to Better Horsemanship program is entering its 5th year. Join this program, which takes riders from their first ride to the show pen, trail, or wherever else they want to go with their horse.

In addition, Liz offers private and small group lessons at her ranch, virtual lessons, and helps competitors prepare for their day in the show pen.

Liz also regularly conducts weekend clinics, at her ranch and around the country.

Having worked with horses since she was in junior high, Liz has an expansive show record in breed associations (ApHC, AQHA, and FQHR), as well as Stock Horse of Texas and National Reined Cow Horse Association.

Liz is a carded judge for ASHA, FQHR, ARHA, and NRCHA and is also available to judge open Ranch Horse shows. She somehow manages to find a little time to trail ride and still competes herself.

Commercial Beef Cattle

Curtis and Liz maintain a small herd of commercial beef cattle, occasionally offering beef on the hoof and beef products to the public.

Cattle are bred and raised on the C Bar L, and grass fed for most of their life. Custom finishing options may be available.
